Punjab Kings vs RCB Winner Prediction
Recommended Bet: Back Punjab Kings to win @ 2.04 with Pure Win
It’s not easy to see why RCB are favourites here.
Not only do Punjab appear to have the better team on paper for the season as a whole but the absences of Aussie pair Hazlewood and Maxwell may hurt RCB more in the short term than those of Rabada and Bairstow to Punjab.
If the wicket is a good one as we expect it to be, then it could be a high-scoring match and Punjab’s powerful batting line-up is preferred, even without Bairstow there.
Add the fact that Punjab are ahead on the head-to-head and that they’re the outsiders at the bigger odds and you can see why it’s an easy choice to make.
At the bigger odds, they’re the pick as our match-winner.

Recommended Bet: Back Hasaranga De Silva to top score for RCB @ 14.79 with 10CRIC
Kohli is the favourite in this market but he really shouldn’t be.
His IPL form hasn’t been great the last couple of years and he hasn’t been much better when playing for India in this format, either.
So it would be a surprise if we see him play a good knock here.
Du Plessis isn’t a bad price at 4.13 given his pedigree but at far bigger odds of 14.79 you can back Hasaranga.
The Sri Lankan, one of our featured ‘lesser known’ overseas players, is mostly known as a dangerous wicket-taking spinner. But he can certainly bat.
Three T20 fifties at domestic level don’t seem like much but he’s better than that and has looked better with bat in hand this last year or so than before.
With no Maxell around for this one, not only does he have a better chance in his absence but he may also bat a place higher, which could make a big difference.
At these sorts of odds, you only need it to come off once.
